If you want an equal and sustainable society, you are part of a living and growing movement. We believe that this movement needs a space to get together and exchange knowledge and ideas. That is why we’re creating an international event about organizing and tech for the left in Malmö, Sweden.

About Organize! Movement Meetup

At Clara Foundation we believe that we can achieve a lot together even with small means – our strength is in our numbers.

Our vision is an equal, sustainable and inclusive society, where more people are included in decision-making processes, and everyone has access to influence in society. 

Our work is dedicated to giving more people the tools and knowledge to participate, influence and organize. We do this by educating and training activists, organizers, developers and designers in both interpersonal and digital methods of organizing.

In line with this vision, we and our partners have co-created Organize! Movement Meetup, an international event and meeting place about organizing and tech, mobilization and activism.

A multi-disciplinary meeting between grassroots- and union organizers, movement builders and party organizers, programmers and software developers. Together we will explore methods for us to organize – whether they be digital or relational.

Organize! Movement Meetup will take place in Malmö, Sweden, in May 2026.

We will gather some 250-300 organizers and developers from our international network for this first installment. After this, the event will take place every two years to build a growing, learning community over time. 

Who is it for?

If any of the following applies, Organize! Movement Meetup is for you:

  • You want to be inspired, meet new people in the leftist movement and have fun. 
  • You are an organizer who wants to learn more about organizing and build your network. 
  • You are a programmer or designer interested in organizing for a cause. 
  • You want to share the knowledge you already have about organizing or programming in a community of likeminded people.

What is it about?

In workshops, panel discussions, one-to-ones you will be:

  • Learning best practices as an organizer: How to work with door-knocking, phone banking, or recruiting new members.
  • Sharing strategies for growing in power. 
  • Learning about strategic use of language, skills and tech. 
  • Building the relationships we need as a movement – with members and with each other.
  • Making the most of the network while enjoying dinners – and a huge party.
